To make things simple, because in reality they are, I'm going to
give you insight into fitness in a simple way. In order to lose
weight, tone your body, shape areas of your body, gain strength,
gain energy, gain muscle size, or simply increase your health, you
need to build your muscle tissue. It doesn't matter what your goals
are, you need to build muscle, or perhaps I should say building
muscle is the best way. Strength training, with some type of
aerobic activity (which alone does not build muscle to an
appreciative degree), is the best way. Of course if you load
your body with enormous amounts of high calorie foods, you will
still build a very lean muscular body with a big layer of fat on
it. So what you eat is important, too. I also offer simple help
with that on my links page. It has been said that the only way you
can eat what you like and maintain your weight these days is to
have a healthy workout program. So to build muscle you have to
bring the muscle to a point of fatigue and it will break down.
Allow it to rest and recover and it will recover stronger than
before. On our machine simply pin off enough weight so that you can
do 10-15 repetitions and no more. If you can do more than 15, pin
off an additional plate. The last 2 or 3 repetitions do the work.
The rest just work up to this point. On a weight resistance machine
like this you have the full weight resistance from the beginning to
the end of your motion and back. Rubber bands, bows, and springs
only provide the full resistance at the end of the motion, so that
is why they feel wrong and don't even come close to a real machine.
It is very difficult to get that pump and work the muscle properly
even on the most expensive units.
Up until now, your choice for a workout has been limited
to:
A: A health club membership.
Everbody wants to make money, but sad to say, most clubs make
their money by selling memberships, not by providing a service,
because they lack the ability to properly train so many
people and supervise their workouts in order for them to
get the results they desire. That's why people drop out of the
club. Lack of results and too many complications. Too many machines
to learn. Too much time going to and from the club. Trying to find
time to workout. Trying to learn the machines and how to use them.
All of these things and more are huge incentives for people to
quit.
B: Personal Training. This
is a better way, but it can be expensive. An expense most of us
would rather not have. Scheduling and time is still required, and
in most cases you will have to make a change in your lifestyle to
fit this type of training in your schedule.
C: Buy a Home Machine. Here
we have major problems, because if a person does not have
knowledge of fitness and working out, how can they make a
decision on what will work and what won't? Thousands of every kind
of profit making machines are out there. Have you heard the
expressions "Commercial Machines" and "Residential Machines"? Or
perhaps "Home Gyms" and "Health Club Equipment"? Whatever you call
them, there is a difference. People assume naturally that the
difference is commercial machines are heavy duty to last because
many people use them and residential machines are light duty
because only one or a few use them. This makes them less expensive.
The fact is All Real Commercial gym equipment is made to
specifications that are required for it to operate safely and
functionally. So called home gym equipment is most often
made in imitation with cheap materials because it markets
better at a cheap price. A lot of it doesn't work period and most
of it carries ridiculous claims. The commercial
equipment is designed for clubs and clubs need individual machines
to accomodate many people and they scoff at the residential
"junk". The people building "residential" equipment claim you
don't need the gym because their machine does the work of several
of their machines at a fraction of the cost. But they just
make their machines appear to do this. We have built a machine that
is a commercial machine designed for the home. It only takes up
a 30" x 44" area, so this coupled with the fact that it
is very affordable and very effective in building muscle makes it
the ideal machine for a home workout. So now you have option D.
D. The CamBar Body
Pump. A machine designed for the
workout at home you are looking for. Simply take a seat, grab the
swivel grip handles and push up and then down. 12-15 times. Then
grab the lower handles and stand up then squat 12-15 times. That's
it. That's your workout. You feel pumped and energized the
first time and this feeling gets better the more you work out,
because when exercising properly like this your body releases
natural feel good chemicals that can be addictive. Now you wait 48
hrs. for your muscles to rebuild stronger and work out again. When
you get to the point where you can do more than the 12-15
repetitions, just pin off an additional weight. In
effect you are doing a two minute workout 3 days a week. Anyone can
do this and because you feel the results, this gives you the
incentive and energy to do some walking
or get on a treadmill or a little time on a
bike. Because of the results you feel
and see, it will give you the incentive to modify your
eating habits. This is how it works: The squat exercise builds all
major muscles in the lower body (thighs, glutes, hamstrings, and
calves) so you don't have to do 4 or 5 different exercises
spending more time. Likewise the upper body press uses most of the
muscle groups in the upper body, so again forget the 4 or 5 more
exercises and time it takes to do them. Incidentally 17,000
certified fitness professionals say it is the number 1
exercise that they can't do
without. And it is the single most fat burning strength exercise
you can do. The upper body press on this machine is much more
effective than a standard press in any gym because the
swivel grip handles allow you to rotate your grip during your
workout to hit those muscles in an infinite variety of directions.
We have built commercial fitness machines for clubs and gyms for 14
years and we are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish
with this machine. You will be proud of what you will be able
to accomplish using it. We built this machine to be a simple,
effective dual workout unit, but the truth is it is much more
versatile. We know you don't want to do 40 or 50 exercises. We know
you want fast results. We know you want a machine you will use
instead of making it a coat rack or putting it out on the back
porch to rust. I guarantee your results from this machine and
if you have any further questions call me at 706-883-8871 or e-mail
me at cambarfitness@hotmail.com. I will be as happy
to help you get the most benefit from this machine as I have been
to help the gyms we've supplied over the past 14 years. Thank you
for your consideration, David Bearden
